Learn how to configure settings to use AOL mail in email applications that are not developed by AOL, such as Outlook, Thunderbird, Windows 10 Mail etc.
accessing Verizon.net mail by using third-party email clients requires manual configuration by making use of the supported Verizon.net/AOL mail server and port number. Use the Verizon.net/AOL-supported server and port numbers listed below when configuring mail settings only.
If you are connected with mail.aol.com or AOL app, you do not need to make any changes to your settings.

Step 1: Find the IMAP/POP server and port settings in your email application.

These settings can usually be found under an account settings menu in your application. If you can’t find your settings, see the “More help with common email clients” section of this article.

Step 2: Update your server and port settings and save your changes.

If you update your settings and can’t retrieve your mail or encounter an error, check your username. It should be your full email address, including @verizon.net.

Protocol Server Settings Port Settings
POP3 Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.verizon.net

Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.verizon.net
